Posted by 9 years ago Now that the mighty Pianoteq is finally available on the net, this will make a nice companion to it. Ivory is a good all rounder and Pianoteq is best for Classical and Jazz where normal samples are just too clunky and unrealistic. Great upload!

I launched the installer, and selected the installation folders for libraries and plug-ins, but right after that. The Library Tools open up and there's a little message saying 'There's nothing to install'. It gives me the option to Check, Verify, Delete or Convert libraries, but. No matter what I choose, it says 'File not found'. What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance for any advice. I am running it on an intel mac running leopard. I downloaded this and went through the installation process, only to find that there is no application! So I downloaded an update which included the standalone player from synthogy's website.
Though it recognizes the library, it does not play them. There are no keysets, which I think has something to do with this. Any suggestions? Has anyone gotten this baby working on an intel mac? Anyways, I appreciate any help in advance. I shouldn't be complaining. It is free, after all.

Posted by 9 years ago I'm having issues being stuck on 99.9% for about two weeks. I have about 5 mb to go but none of that is changing, even though I get some incoming on and off (ranges from 1-9kb/s), which should still show some progress if not nothing at all.
Anyone have this issue? I'm seeing 13 seeders so not sure why it's not finishing off the last 0.1%. Posted by 9 years ago Hey kids, I have great news! I got Ivory working on an intel mac running leopard. And what's more, I got it working in Logic Pro. So here is what I did: 1) Download this 2) Download the AU component from this website 3) Go to the download section on Synthogy's website, get the 1.71 update (for leopard users) 4) Install the standalone and everything else in the update 5) Use library tool to make sure that the Ivory Standalone recognizes (but won't authorize) the libraries 6) Replace the 'real' audio unit with the cracked au from this website (mac hd/library/audio/plugins/components) Ciao!

Plugin works, standalone downloaded from the Ivory site works, but the samples won't convert with the libary tool. It was originally giving me an error 5 readout but after I unchecked the 'read only' part the plugin started to show the pianos in the library, but only the synth (lucky me) will actually make sound.
I would be so greatful if anyone could make these last few days worthwhile and help me get this fuckin program working. Posted by 6 years ago I DON'T GET IT!!! Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am not someone who does not understand this stuff, I've been doing this for years. It has just taken me quite a lot of time to finally get to this beauty of a program. I am on Snow leopard 10.6.8, and running Pro Tools 9.0.4 I have followed many of the listed instructions on Demonoid, and tried to replicate this with RTAS to no avail.

Although, I try to install the 1.7 update from the website which requires disc one to be inserted. So I mount the disc and try to install the update.

I'm on a mac with leopard, so I have all the bits and pieces needed to do the following: 1.Install Ivory 1.5 2.Authorise using Keygen 3.Replace the Ivory Plugin (Library/Audio/Plug-ins/Components) with that from version 1.62.4 4.Extract Ivory Library Tool from 1.64.2 AU update - click show package contents on the IvoryAU.mpkg, then contents/resources and click show package contents on Ivory Library Tool.pkg. Then under contents is the Archive.pax.gz, uncompress this and run Ivory Library Tool. This will take a while. Then copy Ivory Standalone 1.62.4 to Applications HOWEVER.I can't even get past the install stage! The installer asks me to insert the next DVD, and when i clicked cancel to try and bypass it, it fails the installation.
I know this HAS been successfully downloaded and installed with Leopard and Logic and Kontakt by others on here so I MUST be doing something wrong. Please advise! Posted by 3 years ago For Win7 x64 people who are still checking this out. Pain in the arse to get working. But finally got there. Extract all the cd's and throw the install packages into the 'ivory items' folder in the unpacked CD1 folder (as per instructions earlier in this thread).
To install: 1. Run installer. It will ask for a directory and suggest the root of 'c:' 2. Point it to the 'root' of the drive you have selected for the library. The installer creates and throws stuff in a directory structure off the root.(So you needn't worry about crap clogging up the root of your drive) 3. The installer will seem to complete after installing the AST/VST which should go fine for you. (it's a 32bit vst only, so use jbridge with it if you use ableton 64 like me.) 4.
Once the vst is on, the installer will terminate and the library tool will pop up and you are presented with a number of buttons. Convert, check etc. Hitting any of these buttons will not work as the library files are in the wrong place. And here comes the missing nugget of info you have been searching for. THE LIBRARY TOOL EXPECTS TO FIND THE LIBRARY PACKAGES IN A FOLDER DIRECTLY OFF THE ROOT DIRECTORY of whatever drive you selected during install.
If your package files are not in a folder directly off the root folder then bloody well move them there! (in my case I installed to folder called 'ivory' off the root of my M drive and got it all working. So i can confirm that the library tool doesn't give a damn what you call that folder) Now run the tool. Hit the 'check' button. You will know you are going well if you do a check function and it throws errors that they are all mac files.
Now do a convert - this will convert the library to windows format. (note: It seems to convert in place without spawning new files and I didn't get any errors). Now that you have your files converted and in place, best you use that keygen you found with the download. Use it and authorize. (you'll need to run the keygen AND the 'authorize ivory.exe' tool to do this) It worked for me (without using the 1.6 update that was mentioned in another post). Everything should be fine now. Might do to restart your daw just in case.
Restart the VST. Remember to select a 'keyset' which is a pull down just above the piano in the vst graphic. (if you don't select a keyset you will wonder why you can't hear anything). You will need to move the presets and other wrongly placed directories from the install up a level so that they can be found. When I did, I first created a test preset from within the vst; saved it.(When you save a preset it creates a file by the same name in the presets directory). Then moved/copied the supplied presets directory into the new 'higher level' presets directory that was created when I saved my test preset.
From within the VST interface you should now be able to see all the presets within the preset pull-down at top left of interface. I also ran both installer and library tool as admin and with compatibility set to xp sp2. I suspect I didn't need to do either.
I did NOT have to bounce my machine at the end of the saga. I got it all up and happy without having to further test my patience. With the benefit of hindsight, I think the main reason windows users are all getting into a spot of grief is because we defined a directory for install when presented with the default 'C:' that the install routine presented. As a result the library directory we consolidated into was a level deeper in the hierarchy created by the installer.
