Mitsumete Knight (みつめてナイト) is a dating simulation game produced inconjunction by Konami and Red Company (of Sakura Wars fame, and now named Red. A sequence, and Boss Fight, in Mitsumete Knight R: Daibouken Hen. At around the mid-marker of the game, you'll have to get a boat to travel to the next continent. Unfortunately, the only one available at Orcardia is owned by Linda's father, and he refuses to give it to you (unless Linda is in your party: in that case, Linda will convince him to give it to you, and the sequence shown in this video won't happen: the Rescue Partner Event is thus incompatible with Linda), so you'll have to go to Cape River to get one. Between Orcadia and Cape River stands the Drif Forest, so you'll have to cross it. As soon as you'll enter the forest, a Griffin will dive from the sky and kidnap one of your partners. If you're playing a playthrough with an odd number (aka it's your 1st / 3rd / 5th / etc playthrough), the character located on the left when you're selecting the Clothes Mode will be the one kidnapped; if it's a playthrough with an even number (aka it's your 2nd / 4th / 6th / etc playthrough), it's the one on the right who's kidnapped. Bear that in mind if you want to see the lovers kissing anime sequence with a specific character.
You now have to find where the Griffin went. Actually it's located on top of the high cliff, but you can't climb it yet: you must talk with the chained bird first. You'll try to free it, but the chain is too hard for your sword: you'll need a piece of a Griffin's egg shell, which is extremely strong and sharp. The bird will then tell you about the Griffin's Nest and its location, allowing you to climb the cliff. After climbing the cliff, you're in for two Boss Fights in succession: first against the Griffin, then against O2 member Carneau. Even if you're reduced to two members in your party, neither of those fights aren't too hard: power up your chars, strike with your strongest attacks, heal if necessary, and you're good to go. In those fights, I tried to show you a few magics so you see their animations.
Also, in certain boss fights in this game, you'll be able to gain Medals, various new spells, and Relationship Values, if you defeat those bosses in specific ways (usually by letting MacLeod giving them the killing blow, but there can be an additonal condition to this, as it's the case here: you also need Lesley, and Lesley alone -other characters won't work- to use Magic spells in this fight). Here, I gain the Topaze Medal, allowing me to gain the 'Storm Bringer' spell, which I'll show you immediately after against Carneau. After defeating those two bosses, the kidnapped partner will be saved. If she has 95 or more Love Points towards MacLeod, and if you choose the option 'We rushed to your help for your sake, my honey' (LOL XD), go go animated kiss sequence!!!:p The version of the Rescue Partner Event shown here is Sophia's (you can get this Event with all girls save for Linda. Don't worry, she has an animated kiss sequence too, but it's located earlier in the game, at Flore's Beauty Contest). It's very possible to get the animated kiss sequence with her in your first playthrough, as you can see it here, but you have a limited timeframe between the beginning of the game to this Event to increase your Relationship Values with her to 95, so you need to be careful and gather as much Love Points as possible until this Event, so be nice with her at all times and give her clothes that please her (not hard to do, unlike the other chars there's not a lot of clothes she doesn't like)!

The characters of the game was designed by Takenami Hideyuki who had previously taken part in designs for Sakura Taisen, and specifically, enemy designs for Sakura Taisen 2. 6 weeks to sick arms results. The game itself was modified from Tokimeki Memorial: Forever with You, with improvements including an expanded area to display backgrounds and larger characters.
It should be noted however that the gameplay between the two series varies in many areas. The player is a mercenary from the east travelling to the kingdom of Dolphan, modelled after middle-ages Europe. He had been hired to aid the war fought by the country, which will last throughout the following three years of the game, where the player will meet a number of the different characters and develop a relationship with them. At the end of the third year and the end of the war, Dolphan issues an order for all foreigners within the country boarders to be expelled, marking a sudden departure for the player. If the player had developed a fruitful relationship with one of the girls, they will meet the player and leave the country with him (with exceptions to certain characters). Many of the characters die throughout the course of the story, even some of the main characters, and is highly dependent on the actions of the player. Such is quite uncommon for a dating simulation game.
